Accommodations for the Annual Meeting

Please note that these accommodations, campus housing via the meeting registration form, are for the Annual Meeting (UPS) only –The Paralytic Shellfish Toxins Workshop venue is not in Tacoma, and accommodations are arranged separately (click here for form). Registration for the Workshop (click here for form) is separate but the workshop fee also allows Annual Meeting attendance and lunches. Please note also that workshop attendees will have complimentary transportation provided to the workshop hotel from the Annual Meeting.
On-campus Housing and Food Package
Out of town participants are strongly encouraged to stay on the UPS campus to facilitate interaction with colleagues. Our past conference attendees have found the suite-style rooms of Trimble Hall pleasant, comfortable and convenient. Click here for a flyer on the rooms. Please note that the fee for on-campus accommodations includes two nights, banquet and meals (the cafeteria food is very good and many choices are available including vegetarian). In addition to being very affordable, participants staying on campus have access to running trails, etc. on the beautiful UPS campus.
Registration and all other events (with the exception of our Banquet in the Wheelock Student Center) will take place in Thompson Hall this year, rather than the Wheelock Student Center as in previous years. Those registered for campus housing pick up their room key at Conference Services downstairs at the Wheelock Student Center and their other conference materials at the registration desk. Registration for campus housing is via the meeting registration form and payment can also be online (choose Housng Package on the online registration page).
Early Arrivals will check-in at the Conference Services office, located on the bottom floor of the Wheelock Student Center Building. Late Arrivals can go to the Conference Services office for keys during normal business hours (7:00AM – 7:00PM), or after hours they can go to the Security office for further instruction. The Conference Services office number is (253) 879-3483, someone can be reached 24 hours a day at this number. College campuses can be confusing for some folks, so visit this link for a map to the campus: http://www.ups.edu/campusmap.xml. On the map, Thompson Hall is number 24, Trimble hall is number 26, and Wheelock Student Center is number 22.

For those of you who are travelling to Tacoma and do not wish to stay in the residence halls, there are a number of hotels and motels in the Tacoma area that are just a short drive away from the University of Puget Sound. These include:
