Flying In

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (airport code SEA) is located midway between Seattle and Tacoma. To reach Tacoma hotels or the University of Puget Sound, taxicabs are convenient, but Shuttle Express is more affordable if traveling solo, and is located in the airport parking garage. Driving to Pacific NW AOAC Annual Meeting – Harned – Thompson Hall Complex UPS

The University of Puget Sound is located in Tacoma, Washington, approximately 30 miles south of Seattle and 15 miles north of Olympia.
From I-5, take exit 133, Interstate 705 north, City Center exit. Exit at Schuster Parkway. Continue for approximately one mile, and stay to the left. Exit to the left (Schuster Parkway), and follow Schuster along the water. Stay to the right and proceed approximately 1.5 miles. Exit right onto North 30th. Continue through the traffic signal in Old Town and up the hill. Continue on 30th past the blinking light at North Alder. Turn left on Union Ave. Continue approximately one mile. The campus will be on your left. Parking is free and available in the Thompson Hall parking lot (preferred, and located at West end of campus) and also in lots near Wheelock Student Center (East end of campus)

Harned Hall (Westernmost building of the Thompson Hall complex, #12 on map below) is the main venue for the meeting – Registration, lectures, labs, posters, exhibits, coffee breaks. Lunch is served at Wheelock Student Center (#48 on map, at the East end of campus). Wheelock is also the location for the Banquet , which is held in the Rotunda section. Room keys are also picked up at Wheelock, downstairs at Conference Services office. The area around Wheelock also has additional public parking.
